No. Periodontists and oral surgeons place many implants, and general dentists with implant training place others; the crown on top is usually made by a general dentist or a prosthodontist. The specialist tier shows where the register says the surgical training is, which matters most when a case needs bone grafting or a sinus lift.
Does Texas Medicaid pay for implants in Mission?
No implant benefit for adults. Texas Medicaid does not cover general dental care for adults 21 and older outside ICF-IID facilities; the only exception is dental work tied to a life-threatening medical condition, with prior approval, and restorations, dentures and bridges are not authorized under it.
